Hi, I’m Sebastian — and this is my story with clay.
I grew up in Vâlcea, a region in Romania where clay has never been just earth — it has always been memory, tradition, and life itself. Horezu, the heart of this land, is home to a centuries-old ceramic craft so unique that it is now protected by UNESCO. For me, it’s much more than heritage — it’s a piece of who I am.
As a child, clay was part of my games. Later, I understood its deeper meaning: shaped with patience, fire, and imagination, it becomes something eternal, something that carries the soul of a community. Every piece of Horezu ceramic tells a story — of the land, of the hands that created it, of the symbols that protect a home.
When I moved to Berlin, I brought these memories with me. My wish is simple: to share the beauty, warmth, and authenticity of Romanian ceramics with people here in Germany. Each plate, bowl, or cup is unique, handmade with techniques passed down from generation to generation. They are not just objects — they are living fragments of culture, created to be used, gifted, and cherished.
This shop is not just about selling ceramics. It is about keeping alive a craft that has survived centuries, about connecting two worlds — the hills of Vâlcea and the streets of Berlin — and about inviting you to hold in your hands something truly human: clay given soul.
